Pembrokeshire Avifauna committee in Long-eared Owl, Mathew, owl, winter
Asio otus
A winter visitor; scarce.
We believe we have heard the cry of this Owl in the winter time in the fir plantations at Stone Hall. The bird-stuffers receive a few occasionally. The Long-eared Owl is included in all the lists we have examined, with the exception of that of Mr. Dix, who evidently never met with it.
