Pembrokeshire Avifauna committee in Glossy Ibis, Mathew

Plegadis falcinellus

An occasional visitor ; very rare ; only one instance. Mr. Tracy mentions a Glossy Ibis, a fine adult, that was shot at Slebech, in the autumn of 1834, and was in the possession of the gamekeeper. Mr. Thomas Hall, birdstuffer, of London Wall, in the Zoologist for 1858, mentions another that was killed so near to the borders of the county as Laugharne Marsh. This was on April 19 in that year.
