Red-necked Grebe - 1894

Podiceps grisegena

winter visitor; rare.

Mr. Dix was informed by Mr. Tracy that he had several times killed examples of the Red-Necked Grebe, the rarest member of the family in the south west of England, on the mill-pond at Pembroke. This species is not included by Mr. Mathias.
