Common Snipe - 1949

Capella gallinago gallinago

Resident on suitable moors and mountain marshes.  Numerous arrivals in autumn and winter.  A regular visitor and passage migrant on the islands, and occasionally breeds on Skomer, Skokholm and Ramsey.
